While the industry is currently attempting to restrict access to these powerful, unconstrained models, Mayank warns that the window of exclusivity is closing fast.

“ People are obviously trying to keep this genie in a bottle for now, but I think it’ s just a matter of time,” he goes on.“ A lot of the magic is not just in the LLM, but also in the harness that works with it and helps us sort of chain these things together.”

Faced with an impending wave of hyper-capable AI tools, Mayank argues that security teams cannot afford to wait and see. Instead, they must proactively adopt the same technology to find and fix their own vulnerabilities.

“ Security teams right now should be getting ahead of it by getting their hands on whatever advanced models they can,” Mayank urges,“ either building their own harnesses for these models or going to vendors who are building these things and assessing their entire landscape.

“ Start building that muscle at the moment, so you’ re ready ahead of all of this. We have a bit of a breathing room right now, but not for long.”
