Visa has agreed to acquire behavioral biometrics pioneer BioCatch in a US $ 2.4bn deal designed to stop advanced cyber fraud. By analysing subtle user interactions such as typing speed, swipe patterns and mouse movements, BioCatch detects account takeovers and deepfake scams in real time without creating friction for consumers. Integrating this AI technology across Visa’ s global payment network gives financial institutions a continuous, invisible shield against increasinglysophisticated identity theft and automated bot attacks.
