THE CYBER INTERVIEW

“ We are one of the only pure-play cybersecurity organisations actually working with both OpenAI and Anthropic and getting access to their frontier models”

Zeki Turedi Field Chief Technology Officer for Europe CrowdStrike
There are also bigger threats to worry about – adversaries backed by entire governments.“ We know that nation states, like for example, China, are very good at taking public vulnerabilities and weaponising them,” Zeki says.“ In our recent report, we detailed how we saw them doing this within 24 hours.” He explained that this is why finding and fixing new vulnerabilities that matter to your organisation should be done as soon as possible.“ That is not about patching everything,” Zeki explains.“ It is about knowing what vulnerability actually matters and being able to remediate that vulnerability from being used against you.”
At the frontier“ I’ m a big believer that if we are looking to protect our organisations from machine speed adversaries, we should be using machine speed as well,” Zeki says.
“ A big focus for us at CrowdStrike has been the agentic SOC. We actually let AI take control of a lot of capabilities, but have humans in the loop – so the human is still part of the process, but they are not getting in the way of the speed of the machines. This allows us to be better prepared from the sheer volume of incidents we are seeing now, even before AI was everywhere six months ago.”
